Karishma brings over 18 years’ experience in financial services to her role as MLRO and Compliance Manager, with 15 of those years in risk and compliance. She has built a career around helping organisations navigate complex regulatory environments.
Karishma began her career at a “Big-4” accountancy firm, qualifying as a Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP), before moving into Risk and Compliance. She holds the Gibraltar Association of Compliance Officers (GACO) MLRO Certificate and has been a member of the GACO Executive Committee for over 13 years. As MLRO for Whitmill Trust Company (Gibraltar) Limited, she is passionate about promoting strong compliance and governance standards, as well as mentoring and developing young Compliance professionals.
Outside of work, she enjoys contributing regularly to local talk shows The Powder Room and City Pulse, as well as hiking in nearby Spain. When she is not talking compliance, you'll usually find her being outnumbered by her four boys at home.
