Whitmill Memory Walk in support of the Alzheimer's Society
18 October 2018
This month we organised a Memory Walk in support of the Alzheimer’s Society and raised an amazing £1,060.63 for the charity.
A total of 21 staff, along with their family and friends as well as four dogs took part in the Whitmill Memory Walk. The weather was cold and rainy but the walkers powered on and completed the challenge to raise vital funds and awareness.
We are very proud of our team and their family and friends who took part. A huge thank you to everyone who donated to our fundraising; our goal was to raise £500 but we are so thrilled to say we raised over twice this amount!
Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever. Until the day we find a cure, we can create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.
The Whitmill Memory Walk is part of a huge number of walks taking place across the UK this year. Taking part and donating helps fund vital research and you will be joining 100,000 people, united against dementia.
If you weren’t able to join our walk but would like to take part in the future, you can find other walks being organised at the following link: https://www.alzheimers.org.uk/get-involved/events-and-fundraising/join-event/memory-walk
