Whitmill Trust Company Limited has further strengthened its
Gibraltar management team with the appointment of Daniel Azopardi
as Director.
In his new role Daniel is responsible for business development,
with particular emphasis on intermediary development in Gibraltar,
taking care of current clients and structures, overseeing current
good corporate governance and general business management.
Daniel has worked within the fiduciary industry for over 20
years having initially joined the civil service after leaving
college in 1985 This appointment was swiftly followed by a position
within legal chambers where he took over the administration of
companies in varying roles. He then spent a number of years in the
retail and property renovation industry before returning to a
fiduciary role. For the past ten years Daniel was Company Manager
for Gibraltar based Castle Trust and Management Services Limited,
where in 2009 he was appointed to its Board of Directors.
Daniel has extensive experience of the local business markets in
Gibraltar and Spain is fluent in English and Spanish.
Commenting on this senior appointment Don Wijsmuller, Managing

into new jurisdictions opening offices in Gibraltar and Geneva. We

our clients' diverse needs. Daniel has a particular niche interest
in yachts and has vast knowledge of yacht registration procedures
and in establishing bespoke structures for boat owners."
In 2006 Daniel qualified in Offshore Finance and Administration
from the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators
(ICSA) and in 2009 he was appointed a Commissioner for Oaths by the
Supreme Court of Gibraltar.
A family man Daniel is married and has two young children,
Danielle (9) and Luke (6). He was one of the founder members of the
Gibraltar Federation of Small Businesses and the Rotaract Club of
Gibraltar. Outside of work hobbies include all water sports,
particularly motor boating and fishing.
Discussing his new position Daniel said "I am relishing the
